PEORIA, AZ — Police are investigating after a body was found near a vehicle on a Loop 101 exit ramp early Monday.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety says they were called to the Loop 101 exit ramp southbound at Peoria Avenue for a report of a vehicle blocking the ramp.
When they arrived, they found a woman about 50 feet in front of the vehicle.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
DPS has since identified the woman as 33 years old from Peoria. They have not provided her name at this point.
DPS says the are also looking for a 2010-2014 Dodge Challenger in connection with the woman's death. They do not yet know the color or license plate of the vehicle, but authorities say it will have damage to the front grill's hood.
