ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The Washington College men's soccer team fell to the St. Mary's (Md.) Seahawks, 1-0, in an exhibition match on Saturday night at Jamie L. Roberts Stadium.
The Seahawks found the back of the net early when Zack Glime found Issac Ekobo for the lone goal of the game in the 11th minute of action.
Washington College (six total shots) fired off three shots in the second half, but never posed a real threat to score. The Seahawks had 14 shots in the match and attempted five corner kicks compared to none by the Shoremen.
Sophomore Austin Heid played 62:11 in net, allowed the goal and made a pair of saves. Classmate Tim Loeffler made two saves in 27:49 of action.
