RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - As we enter the major construction season, part of I-90 will be closed on Thursday.
The State Department of Transportation said the westbound exit ramp at Exit 59 will be closed Thursday from 9 A.M. to noon.
All traffic will used Exist 58 as an alternate route and to be aware of the construction workers.
This closure is associated with to the removal of light towers and the on-going widening of I-90.
It is the first phase of a two-year project to add extra lanes to I-90 and re-do the interchange at Exit 59 at North Lacrosse Street.
This $17 million project is scheduled for completion in June 2023.
