A burning pickup truck that ignited dry roadside grass forced the shutdown of westbound Interstate 70 near the Genessee exit shortly before 11 a.m., authorities said Tuesday morning.
Colorado Department of Transportation officials warned drivers to expect delays. Westbound I-70 traffic was being routed on a detour at Exit 256 for Lookout Mountain. On eastbound I-70, the right lane was open, CDOT officials said in an agency posting on Twitter.
