LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — A popular exit ramp to enter Downtown Lynchburg will be closed temporarily as work continues on the ramp.
On Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day, Ramp 1A (from the Lynchburg Expressway to Main Street, Downtown) will close to all traffic.

The City said this is to accommodate the removal of temporary jersey barriers and temporary pavement markings and the installation of permanent pavement markings along the ramp.
Drivers, including emergency vehicles, will be able to use Exit Ramp 1B during this closure for access to Main Street Downtown.
A flagging operation will be in place at Main Street to help with traffic flow.
