GRASONVILLE, MD. – Freshman Shawn Colella is in third place through two rounds of the Towson Golf Invitational, which is being held at the Prospect Bay Country Club. The Bearcats as a team are in fifth place out of eight competing teams.
The two-day event concludes with the final round on Sunday.
Colella shot a 71-69=140/4-under par. The 69 represents the lowest round of his career.
Senior Scott Kleeschulte sits in a tie for 17th place after shooting a 72-75=147/3-over par. Graduate student Justin Lane is in 19th place with a two-round round of 75-73=148/4-over par.
Josh Nagy of Robert Morris leads the field with a score of 65-71=136/8-under par. His team also is in first place with a score of 284-290=574/2-under par.
There are 45 golfers competing in the tournament.
