Wide receiver Kendrick Bourne is the first 49ers free agent to find employment elsewhere.
Bourne, who joined the 49ers four years ago as an undrafted rookie, got in on the New England Patriots’ spending spree Monday. He agreed to a three-year, $22.5 million contract that can be ratified as early as Wednesday, NFL Network reported.
Bourne’s exit shouldn’t come as a surprise, seeing how the 49ers are locked into Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk as their starting tandem for the foreseeable future.
