MANHATTAN, Kan. – Each week throughout the 2020 season, k-statesports.com recaps the action for the 13 former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.
Deante Burton, DB – Dallas Cowboys
Burton, who was part of the active roster in Week 3, is on the Cowboys' practice squad. Dallas fell at Washington, 25-3, to drop to 2-5 on the season, which is still good enough for a tie for second in the NFC East. The Cowboys travel to face first-place Philadelphia on Sunday night.
B.J. Finney, OL – Seattle Seahawks
Finney, who is in his first season with the Seahawks, was in for six special teams snaps in Seattle's 37-24 overtime loss at Arizona on Sunday night. The loss dropped Seattle to 5-1 this year as it still leads the NFC West, and the Seahawks host San Francisco on Sunday.
Elijah Lee, LB – Detroit Lions
In his first season in Detroit, Lee recorded a tackle on kickoff in the Lions' 23-22 victory over Atlanta on the last play of the game. The victory evened Detroit's record at 3-3 prior to hosting Indianapolis on Sunday.
Tyler Lockett, WR – Seattle Seahawks
Lockett put together a career-best performance, but it wasn't enough as Seattle fell at Arizona, 37-34, in overtime on Sunday night. Lockett hauled in 15 receptions for 200 yards and three touchdowns, the first two being a career best and the latter tying a career high. He became just the third player since the 1970 merger to have a game with 15 receptions, 200 receiving yards and three scores, and the first since 2000. The Tulsa, Oklahoma, native is tied for first in the NFL this season with seven receiving touchdowns, while his 45 catches rank seventh and his 542 receiving yards rank ninth. The Seahawks, who dropped their first game of the year, are 5-1 as they lead the NFC West by a half game. Seattle hosts San Francisco on Sunday.

Cornelius Lucas, OL – Washington Football Team
Lucas, a sixth-year veteran, earned his first start of the season and 17th of the year as he was in for all 69 snaps in Washington's 25-3 home victory over Dallas. The Football Team improved to 2-5 on the year, just percentage points behind Philadelphia for first place in the NFC East, as they enter their bye week.
Matt McCrane, K – Cleveland Browns
Matt McCrane is on Cleveland's practice after signing with the organization in Week 3. The Browns earned a narrow 37-34 victory at in-state foe Cincinnati to improve to 5-2, a game and a half behind Pittsburgh for first place in the AFC North. Cleveland hosts Las Vegas on Sunday.
Byron Pringle, WR – Kansas City Chiefs
Pringle put together perhaps the most impactful game of his career in Kansas City's 43-16 victory at Denver. In his second season on the active roster, Pringle returned a kickoff 102 yards and also downed a punt at the Bronco one-yard line, both coming in a second quarter that the Chiefs won, 14-3, to go into halftime with a 24-9 lead. His 102-yard kickoff return was the fourth-longest kick return in Chiefs' history and the longest score in the NFL this season. Kansas City improved to 6-1 to hold a 2.5 game lead in the AFC West, and the Chiefs host the New York Jets on Sunday.

D.J. Reed Jr., DB – Seattle Seahawks
A fifth-round pick by San Francisco in 2018 who was claimed off waivers prior to the season, Reed is on injured reserve for the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle fell, 37-34, in overtime at Arizona on Sunday night, but the Seahawks remain in first place in the NFC West with a 5-1 record. The Seahawks host San Francisco on Sunday.
Dalton Risner, OL – Denver Broncos
Starting his 22nd-career game, Risner was in for all 77 offensive snaps in Denver's 43-16 home loss to Kansas City. Risner, who has started every game in his career, has seen time on 1,362 of the Broncos' 1,432 offensive snaps (95.1%) since he began his career last year. The Broncos are now 2-4 this season, and they host the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.
Duke Shelley, DB – Chicago Bears
A sixth-round pick in last year's draft, Shelley was in for a pair of special teams plays in Chicago's 24-10 loss at the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night. The Bears are now 5-2 this season, a half game behind Green Bay for first place in the NFC North. Chicago hosts New Orleans on Sunday.
Reggie Walker – Arizona Cardinals
Walker, who was elevated to the Cardinals' active roster for their Week 6 win at Dallas, is back on Arizona's practice squad. The Cardinals picked up a 37-34 victory over Seattle in overtime as they kicked the game-winning field goal with 15 seconds to spare in the extra frame. Arizona is now 5-2 this season to sit a half game behind the Seahawks in the NFC West as the Cardinals enter their bye week.
Cody Whitehair, OL – Chicago Bears
Whitehair started his 71st-career game but was in for only 37 of the Bears' 63 offensive snaps due to injury in Chicago's 24-10 Monday-night loss at the Los Angeles Rams. The Bears are now 5-2 this season – a half game behind Green Bay for first place in the NFC North – and they host New Orleans on Sunday.
Jordan Willis, DE – New York Jets
Willis was inactive in the New York's 18-10 loss to Buffalo. The 0-7 Jets travel to face Kansas City on Sunday.
