DURHAM, N.C.— Although 2020 has been a year of uncertainty due to a global pandemic, Duke women's golf alumnae have certainly maintained their success in the professional ranks. Duke is well represented on the LPGA and Symetra tours; and with both tours nearing the home stretch, the Blue Devils will look to finish strong. Former Duke golfers Celine Boutier and Yu Liu are both ranked in the LPGA Top 30 Race to CME Globe Season standings, while golfers Ana Belac and Laetitia Beck are both listed in the top 20 for official prize money on the Symetra Tour.

Duke (2013-14)

Liu ranks 32nd on the official money list at $227,599. The former Blue Devil ranks sixth on the tour in eagles (4) and ninth in sub-par holes (140), while also ranking 10th in birdies (136). Liu has accumulated 21 rounds under par, which ranks 14th on tour. Her best round came in the second round of the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open when she shot six-under. For the tournament, she shot nine-under, good enough for a tied-fourth place finish. Liu has two top 10 finishes on the year, including a tied-fifth finish at the Marathon LPGA Classic. She will compete in the LPGA Drive On Championship at Reynolds Lake Oconee this weekend.

Celine Boutier

Celine Boutier has been a model of consistency since joining the tour in 2017. Boutier ranks 19th on the 2020 official money list at $347,975, bringing her career earnings to $1,427,982. Having one of her best seasons yet, she has played in a tour high 13 events, has a hole-in-one, ranks sixth in birdies (141), fifth in sub-par holes (143) and 12th in rounds under par (23). She has four top 10 finishes with her best finish of the season coming in July at the LPGA Drive On Championship where she finished second. Her next highest finish came in January during the Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio tournament where she finished fourth and earned $104,167 in prize money. Other top 10 finishes include the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open, where she tied for sixth and the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions where she finished ninth. Boutier will compete in the LPGA Drive On Championship at Reynolds Lake Oconee this weekend.

Brittany Lang
Duke (2003-05)
2003-04 & 2004-05 All-America
2003-04 National Freshman of the Year

Lang has accumulated career earnings of $7,015,312 in her time as a professional, including $76,360 this season, coming off having her first child. She has 72 birdies on the season with an average driving distance of 251.94 and a greens in regulation rate of 66.03 percentage. Her best finish of the season came in July at the LPGA Drive On Championship where she finished tied for sixth and shot even for the tournament. The top 10 finish was her first tournament back after giving birth in late January to her daughter, Shay Bella Spann. Lang will compete in the LPGA Drive On Championship at Reynolds Lake Oconee this weekend.

Lindy Duncan

Lindy Duncan has certainly made a name for herself on the LPGA Tour with a career purse of $1,026,021 since joining the tour in 2014. 2020 has been another good season for the former Blue Devil as she has 86 birdies, an eagle, and nine rounds in the 60's. Duncan's best round of the season came in the first round at the ShopRite LPGA Classic where she shot five-under for the day. Her best performance of the year came in August at the Marathon LPGA Classic where she finished five-under with three rounds in the 60s. Duncan will compete in the LPGA Drive On Championship at Reynolds Lake Oconee this weekend.

Leona Maguire

Maguire has had a stellar rookie year on the LPGA tour earning $150,781 this season, although the pandemic has limited her tournaments. The former Blue Devil has emerged as one of the top putters on tour ranking third in putting average (29.03) and 19th in putts per GIR (1.79). Maguire's best round came at Gainbridge when she shot five-under-par for the second round. Her best overall performance came in February when she finished tied for fourth and finished six-under-par, bringing home $52,861. Maguire joins the LPGA Tour after an impressive 2019 season on the Symetra Tour where she finished seventh on the official money list ($92,517) and fifth on rounds in the 60s (20). She will compete in the LPGA Drive On Championship at Reynolds Lake Oconee this weekend.

Symetra Tour

Ana Belac
Duke (2016-20)
2018-19, 2019-20 All-America

Although Belac's Duke career ended abruptly due to the pandemic, she hasn't let it impact her moving forward. As a rookie on the Symetra tour, she is ranked 18th on the official money list ($17,132), eighth in scoring average (70.81) and 12th in putting average (29.43). The former Blue Devil also has 86 birdies, 10 rounds under par, and seven rounds in the 60's. Her best finish came in September at the IOA Golf Classic where she finished 8-under-par and tied for fifth, after closing with a round of 66. Belac will compete again in the Carolina Golf Classic next weekend.

Laetitia Beck  
Duke (2010-14)
2010-11 ACC Rookie of the Year
2012-13, 2013-14 All-America

Having a strong 2020 season thus far, Beck has competed in events on both the LPGA Tour and the Symetra Tour. She is currently ranked 19th on the official money list for the Symetra Tour ($16,384), bringing her career earnings on the tour up to $65,019. On the Symetra Tour, she has 68 birdies, an eagle, 10 rounds under par, and a putting average of 29.64. Meanwhile, on the LPGA Tour she has 18 birdies in three tournaments. Her best finish came on the Symetra Tour in August when she finished 8-under-par and tied for third at the IOA Championship with rounds of 67, 71 and 70 for a 208. Beck will compete in the Carolina Golf Classic next weekend.
