CHARLESTON- The West Virginia Division of Highways announces that on Tuesday, June 2, the Exit 99 Northbound off-ramp of I-79 (Weston), will be temporarily closed while crews make road repairs. It is expected to be sometime between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and will take a couple of hours to perform the work. Once repairs are made, the exit will be reopened.
Neither southbound nor northbound mainline interstate traffic will be affected. Only the northbound EXIT will be temporarily closed.
Motorists needing to exit off Exit 99 NB will be asked to follow the wide-load detour of I-79 Exit 105 (Jane Lew), return to I-79 SB to Exit 99 (Weston/Buckhannon).
The West Virginia Department of Transportation asks you to please use caution when driving in work zones — Just. Slow. Down. It’s everybody’s responsibility. Drivers should download the WV 511 app for regular traffic and road work updates or go to the website at www.WV511.org.
