The westbound Cranberry exit ramp from the Pennsylvania Turnpike will close at 7 p.m. Monday night and reopen Tuesday morning as work crews remove a disabled tractor trailer from the ramp, turnpike officials announced Monday.
The closure of the westbound Exit 28 ramp will be from 7 p.m. Monday night to 5 a.m. Tuesday morning, so crews can safely remove the truck and complete guide rail repairs around the area.
Westbound drivers will be able to proceed past the closed ramp toward Ohio, but will not be able to exit at the westbound Cranberry interchange. Drivers headed to Cranberry can exit at the Butler Valley interchange, Exit 39.
The recommended detour is to follow Route 8 north for about 6.5 miles, then onto Route 228 west toward Cranberry.
Drivers can regularly monitor conditions on state roads at 511pa.com.
