Smurfit Kappa Group PLC said Friday that it plans to exit the Russian market and has already suspended support for its operations in the country.
The paper-based packaging company said it will continue to pay employees and fulfill its legal obligations during the exit process which "will be effected in an orderly manner."
The Russian business represents less than 1% of forecast sales.
Shares at 0904 GMT were down 28.0 pence, or 0.8%, at 3,386.0 pence.
