Giants' Daniel Jones, Saquon Barkley, exit in first half vs. Cowboys - The Athletic

The Giants' offense lost three major pieces on Sunday, with quarterback Daniel Jones, running back Saquon Barkley and wide receiver Kenny Golladay all ruled out with injuries after leaving in the first half against the Cowboys.

Barkley was ruled out after injuring his left ankle in the first quarter. Jones sustained an apparent head injury late in the second quarter and was ruled out to start the second half. Mike Glennon replaced Jones. It's unclear when Golladay was hurt, but he did not appear after halftime. His last target came early in the second quarter.

Jones took a helmet-to-helmet hit from the Cowboys' Jabril Cox with Jones outside the pocket running as a ball carrier on third-and-goal. The New York quarterback was wobbly as he walked after taking the hit, and took a cart back to the locker room. The Giants scored a touchdown on the next play.

Barkley rolled his ankle while not carrying the ball and stepping on the foot of a Cowboys defender. The medical staff used a cart to transport Barkley to the locker room after being initially examined on the bench.

Barkley is returning from a season-ending torn ACL in his knee from last season. He played his best game since returning from the knee injury in a Week 4 win against the Saints. Barkley amassed 126 total yards and two TDs in New York's win in New Orleans.

The Giants' offense entered Sunday already without wide receivers Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton and left tackle Andrew Thomas.

More to come on this developing story.
