San José, Calif. - Jasmin Holliday is joining the San José State women's basketball staff as an assistant coach, head coach Jamie Craighead announced on Wednesday.
Holliday arrives at SJSU after spending the last two seasons as an assistant coach at San Diego. She helped guide the Toreros to a record of 32-18 in those two years, arriving one season after USD went 9-21 on the 2018-19 campaign.
"Jasmin is an outstanding addition to our staff and is exactly what our program needs at this time," says Craighead. "She is an experienced recruiter with on-court coaching experience and the ability to immediately hit the ground running upon her arrival. Jasmin will mentor and relate to the student-athletes in our program based on her own experiences as a former player and coach at the Division I level. I knew immediately that I wanted to reach out to her about the open assistant position and was thrilled when she said she wanted to be a Spartan."

Holliday coached a total of seven Toreros to all-WCC recognition and San Diego finished in the top-three of the WCC standings in each of her two seasons on staff. Holliday saw immediate success with the program, helping the Toreros to an appearance in the WCC Tournament title game in her first season.
In April of 2020, Holliday was named to the Silver Waves Media 50 Impactful Division I Assistant Coaches list.
"I would like to thank Coach Craighead for allowing me to be a part of this special program," Holliday says. "It's a privilege to get the opportunity to work with such an admirable and respected coach and her incredible staff. This group of talented scholar-athletes has a championship mindset and I'm eager to encourage them both on and off the floor to give them the experience they deserve at San José State University. I'm beyond excited to be a Spartan!"
Prior to arriving at San Diego, Holliday spent four seasons on staff at Loyola Marymount.
Seeing varied experience at each level of the Lions program, she spent one year each as a graduate assistant, administrative assistant, director of operations and assistant coach. In her lone season as an assistant coach, the program posted wins over UCLA and Arizona en route to LMU's first postseason appearance in 15 years.
Holliday also earned her master's throughout her tenure at Loyola Marymount, graduating with a degree in educational studies in 2017.
A standout defensive performer with Pac-12 experience, Holliday played collegiately at Oregon for NBA and WNBA champion Paul Westhead from 2008-2012. She finished her career among the Ducks all-time top-10 in games played (tied for second at 124), steals (seventh with 183) and blocks (eighth at 109) and received all-conference honorable mention recognition as a senior while graduating with a bachelor's degree in journalism.
Holliday went on to play professionally in Europe, enjoying success with both Huima in Finland and Gruner Stern Keltern in Germany. In addition, she also competed internationally for a USA all-star squad that was sponsored by the United States Basketball Academy.
A California product, Holliday is a native of Chino Hills and graduated from Ayala High School.
