CONWAY, Ark. – The Central Arkansas men's track and field team will be represented at the NCAA Championships by Zachary Jewell, who qualified in the 100m. He is scheduled to run at 6:16 p.m. PST/ 8:16 p.m. CST on ESPN2 live from Hayward Field.
Jewell tied his career-best mark and UCA record of 10.07 in the 100m and finished with the fourth-best mark in the first round of the NCAA West Prelims. He qualified for the NCAA Championships with a run of 10.17 and produced the sixth-fastest time in the prelims. He is just the second UCA student-athlete to qualify for the NCAA Championships in the Division I era. He will be running for the chance to become the second UCA track & field athlete to earn All-American honors since the program moved to Division I.
Jewell will be on the track at 6:16 p.m. PST, 8:16 p.m. CST, on ESPN2. He will be in lane 9 of the first heat. The top-2 performers from each heat will advance to the final, along with the next three best times. The meet can be seen in its entirety on the ESPN family of networks. Follow along live here.
