By India Today News Desk: Assembly elections in Meghalaya and Nagaland will conclude on Monday. The exit poll results for the three northeastern states, including Tripura, will be announced after 7 pm on Monday.
In Meghalaya, voting began at 7 am sharp, with 369 candidates in the fray. The ruling National People's Party is facing a tough fight from the Bharatiya Janata Party, which is contesting the polls from all 60 seats. The Congress, which once ruled Meghalaya in coalition with smaller regional parties, is eyeing a comeback in the state.

The voting for Nagaland Assembly election is currently underway. Over 13 lakh voters will choose from 183 candidates contesting in 59 out of a total of 60 seats. Polling began at 7 am and will continue till 4 pm. The ruling Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) is contesting in alliance with the BJP. The NDPP is contesting on 40 seats and the BJP on 20 seats.
Meanwhile, the Tripura Assembly Election took place on February 16. The polling exercise was conducted across all the 60 constituencies. According to the Election Commission, the state recorded a voter turnout of nearly 88 per cent. Out of the total 28.14 lakh voters, around 24.66 lakh voters exercised their franchise.
As voting concludes in Meghalaya and Nagaland today, all eyes will be on the exit poll results 2023 this evening. The exit poll findings are released only after polling concludes in all districts and phases.
