Syracuse, N.Y. -- Jimmy Boeheim will raise his No. 0 Syracuse basketball uniform in front of a Carrier Dome crowd Saturday as the Orange honors its seniors and graduate students before tipping off with Miami at 1 p.m.
Boeheim would not have imagined that scenario a couple years ago when he planned to play four years at Cornell, graduate with an Ivy League degree and then pursue professional basketball someplace before finally settling into a career in business or finance.
