The Long Island Expressway has reopened between exits 50 and 51 following an accident involving a motorcycle, police say.
There are possible serious injuries, and it’s unclear how many vehicles were involved.
Delays were all the way back to the Sagtikos Parkway.
Drivers were urged to take the Northern State Parkway to avoid the congestion.
