MANILA, July 1 (Reuters) - Philippine authorities will “work unceasingly” to assure compliance with recommendation from a global money laundering watchdog and exit its “grey list” on or before 2023, the central bank governor said on Thursday.
Being added to the grey list of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) does not automatically mean imposition of countermeasures, central bank Governor Benjamin Diokno told a regular news conference. The Philippines was added to the FATF list of countries in June.
