EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon State women's basketball team earned its second-straight road win over a ranked opponent, as the Beavers took down No. 14 Oregon 88-77 Sunday afternoon in Eugene.
"Another great win for us today," said Oregon State head coach Scott Rueck. "I couldn't be happier for this team – the way that they played to put up 88 points against an Oregon team that defends really well. That was the difference between today and the first time we faced them. We had stretches of great defense today. I'm excited to head to Vegas."
With the win, Oregon State has now won three-straight games and six of its last seven.
Aleah Goodman had another impressive outing, going for 20 points on 8-for-13 shooting to go with four assists. Sasha Goforth knocked down all nine of her free throw attempts to put up 17 points.
Taya Corosdale went 4-for-5 from beyond the arc to end the contest with 14 points. Ellie Mack also put up 14 points, including an important four-point play down the stretch.
Taylor Jones narrowly missed a double-double, finishing with 11 points and nine rebounds. Talia von Oelhoffen rounded out six Beavers in double-figures, recording 10 points.
As a team, Oregon State shot 50 percent from the floor and 55 percent from beyond the arc.
The Beavers jumped in front early, taking an 11-6 advantage into the game's first media break. The Ducks answered with a 10-0 run on their way to a 21-18 edge after a quarter of play.
Oregon State answered by retaking the lead early in the second frame. The teams traded punches from there, with OSU heading to the intermission in front 38-35. Goforth had 12 points at half.
The Beavers used an 11-0 third-quarter run to extend their lead to double-figures. Oregon State headed to the closing frame up 61-50.
OSU brought the margin to 17 four minutes into the fourth. The Ducks cut the lead to eight in the closing minute, but the Beavers were able to take the win by 11.
