GREEN BAY – The Packers' possible opponents for next weekend's NFC Divisional playoff have dwindled from four to two.
With the No. 6 seed LA Rams beating the No. 3 Seattle Seahawks, 30-20, on Saturday in the wild-card round, the Packers will host either the Rams or the Bears next weekend at Lambeau Field.
No. 7 seed Chicago travels to No. 2 New Orleans on Sunday (3:40 p.m. CT kickoff) and would earn a trip to Green Bay with a victory. If the Saints win, Los Angeles would come to Lambeau Field.
The winner of Saturday night's wild-card game between No. 5 seed Tampa Bay and No. 4 Washington no longer has any bearing on the Packers' opponent in the next round.
The specific day and time of the Packers' divisional round game remains to be determined. The NFL is expected make the announcement late Sunday.
The Rams won at Seattle despite difficult injury circumstances.
QB Jared Goff, who didn't start the game due to recent surgery on a broken right thumb, had to enter the game in the first half and finish despite the injury. Goff's backup who started the game, John Wolford, left with a head/neck injury and was taken to a Seattle hospital. LA also lost Defensive Player of the Year candidate Aaron Donald to a rib injury in the second half, and he did not return.
