LOGAN, Utah - Utah State men's basketball (1-2) hosts BYU (4-1) in its 2020-21 home opener on Saturday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. Fans can watch the game live on the Mountain West Digital Network, online at utahstateaggies.com/watch, on the Utah State Athletics Facebook page or by downloading the official Utah State Athletics app.

Opening tips
• Utah State hosts BYU in its 2020-21 home opener, representing the 237th meeting between the two schools and the longest in-state rivalry for the Aggies, dating back to the 1905-06 season.

• BYU leads the all-time series 144-92, but the Aggies hold a 58-55 advantage in games played in Logan.

• Utah State has won 26 straight home openers and is 54-9 in home openers dating back to the 1957-58 season.

• Entering the 2020-21 season, Utah State ranks sixth in the nation with 54 victories over the last two years. The Aggies trail Gonzaga (64), Liberty (59), Virginia (58), Duke (57), Kentucky (55), New Mexico State (55) and Florida (55).

• Utah State has already sold out the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum for the game, although capacity has been reduced to 1,628 fans (16% of the actual capacity of 10,270) due to the COVID-19 pandemic. USU head coach Craig Smith will not be on the bench after testing positive for COVID-19 earlier in the week.

• Freshman guard Rollie Worster totaled 36 points over his first three games this season, marking the most points scored by a true freshmen over their first three games since Koby McEwen scored 45 points during the 2016-17 season.

• Redshirt junior guard Marco Anthony is the only Aggie to surpass 20 points this season, logging a career-high 22 points in Utah State's 82-71 victory over Northern Iowa on Nov. 27.

• Junior center Neemias Queta is one of just 20 players nationally to appear on the initial watch list for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar award, giving annually to the top center in collegiate basketball. Queta is also one of just 50 in the nation on the Wooden Award Preseason 50 list. Queta was also named preseason all-Mountain West.

• Queta led the Aggies in scoring, rebounding, assists and blocks in the game against South Dakota State, finishing the game with 12 points, eight rebounds, three assists and three blocks.

• Junior forward Justin Bean averaged 11.9 points and 10.5 rebounds per game a season ago, making him the first Aggie to averaged a double-double in a season since Mike Santos averaged 18.2 points and 11.3 rebounds per game during the 1976-77 season.

• Queta and Bean each logged a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds in the Aggies' last game against Northern Iowa. Overall, Queta leads the team with two double-doubles this season.

• Queta and Bean were named second and third-team all-Mountain West, respectively, in 2019-20, and were both named to the Mountain West all-defensive team.
