MANHATTAN, Kan. – Each week throughout the 2020 season, k-statesports.com recaps the action for the 13 former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.
 
Deante Burton, DB – Dallas Cowboys
Burton is on the Dallas practice squad, which lost at home to Pittsburgh, 24-19. Burton was elevated from the practice squad for Dallas' Week 3 loss at Seattle. Despite holding a 2-7 record this year, the Cowboys remain in the hunt in the NFC East as they enter their bye week.
 
B.J. Finney, OL – Cincinnati Bengals
Finney, who was traded from the Seahawks two weeks ago, and the Cincinnati Bengals were off last week. Not eligible for the Bengals' win over Tennessee the week he was traded due to NFL testing protocols, Finney will be eligible to play in Cincinnati's game at Pittsburgh this Sunday. The Bengals are 2-5-1 this season.
 
Elijah Lee, LB – Cleveland Browns
Waived by the Lions and picked up by the Browns two weeks ago, Lee and the Cleveland Browns were off last week. Lee was ineligible to play in the Browns' loss to Las Vegas two weeks ago due to NFL testing protocols but will be eligible to play against Houston this Sunday. The Browns are 5-3 this year to sit in third place in the AFC North.
 
Tyler Lockett, WR – Seattle Seahawks
Lockett started his 63rd-career game, pulling two four passes for 40 yards in Seattle's 44-34 loss at Buffalo. The Tulsa, Oklahoma, native is tied for fourth in the NFL this season with seven receiving touchdowns, while his 53 catches rank 10th. Despite the loss, the Seahawks still lead the NFC West with a 6-2 record, and they travel to face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
 
Cornelius Lucas, OL – Washington Football Team
A sixth-year veteran, Lucas made his 18th-career start and second straight in Washington's 23-20 home loss to the New York Giants. The Football Team is now 2-6 this season but still remains in the hunt in the NFC East. Washington travels to face Detroit on Sunday.
 
Matt McCrane, K – Cleveland Browns
Matt McCrane is on Cleveland's practice after signing with the organization in Week 3. The 5-3 Browns were off last week and host Houston on Sunday.
 
Byron Pringle, WR – Kansas City Chiefs
Pringle saw action on 19 offensive snaps and eight special teams plays in Kansas City's narrow 33-31 victory over Carolina. Pringle has six receptions for 91 yards this year to go along with four kickoff returns for 180 yards and a touchdown. The Chiefs enter their bye week with an AFC West-leading 8-1 record.
 
D.J. Reed Jr., DB – Seattle Seahawks
Reed made his third-career start – including his first with the Seahawks – as he made five tackles in Seattle's 44-34 setback at Buffalo. Reed, who started the year on injured reserve, played in his second game of the season for the 6-2 Seahawks, who lead the NFC West prior to facing the Rams in Los Angeles on Sunday.
 
Dalton Risner, OL – Denver Broncos
Starting his 24th-career game, Risner was in for all 73 offensive snaps in Denver's 34-27 loss at Atlanta. Risner, who has started every game in his career, has seen time on 1,500 of the Broncos' 1,570 offensive snaps (95.5%) since he began his career last year. The Broncos fell to 3-5 on the season prior to traveling to face Las Vegas on Sunday.
 
Duke Shelley, DB – Chicago Bears
A sixth-round pick in last year's draft, Shelley made a tackle on kickoff coverage among his 16 special teams plays in Chicago's 24-17 loss at Tennessee. The Bears fell to 5-4 this season prior to hosting Minnesota on Monday night.
 
Reggie Walker – Arizona Cardinals
Walker is on the practice squad for the Arizona Cardinals, who suffered a 34-31 home setback to Miami. He was elevated for the Cardinals' Week 6 win at Dallas, a game in which he recorded a tackle. Despite the loss that dropped Arizona to 5-3 this season, the Cardinals remain just one game behind Seattle for the NFC West lead. Arizona hosts Buffalo on Sunday.
 
Cody Whitehair, OL – Chicago Bears
Whitehair was not on the active roster last week as he was placed on the COVID-19 reserve list, a week after being in active due to injury and seeing a 71-game starting streak come to an end. The Bears fell at Tennessee, 24-17, to drop to 5-4 this season. Chicago hosts Minnesota on Monday night.
 
Jordan Willis, DE – San Francisco 49ers
Willis, who was traded from the New York Jets to San Francisco three weeks ago, tallied an 11-yard sack and a quarterback hurry in his second game with the 49ers, a 34-17 home loss to Green Bay on Thursday night. The defeat dropped San Francisco to 4-5 on the year, and the 49ers travel to face New Orleans on Sunday.
