A sink hole was reported Saturday night at 11:42 p.m. on the Exit 21A ramp from I-287 North to I-78 East in Bridgewater Township, and the ramp remains closed in Bedminster due to the sinkhole.
When police troopers arrived Saturday night, they observed the sink hole in the right lane and shoulder of the ramp.
For the safety of drivers in the community, the ramp was shutdown. No accidents or incidents were reported.
As of 6 p.m. Sunday, drivers are advised to follow the detour and continue onto I-287 North to Exit 26B. Then, take I-287 South to Exit 21A to get onto I-78 East.
