Three former Maryland men’s soccer players will be playing in the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup. Midfielder Eryk Williamson and defender Donovan Pines are on the United States Men’s National Team while goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair will play on the Canadian team.
For Williamson and Pines, seeing the field for the United States would result in each of their first caps for the national team. St. Clair already made his first start for the Canadian Men’s National Team on June 5 in a World Cup qualifying match against Aruba.
Both the United States and Canada are in Group B and will face off against each other Sunday, July 18 at 5 p.m. at Children’s Mercy Park.
Before the Terps’ reunite on the field they will face the other two teams in Group B. The United States will play against Haiti on July 11 and Martinique on July 15. Canada will play against Martinique on July 11 and Haiti on July 15.
