David Bakhtiari becomes highest paid offensive linemen in NFL history and returns to action in Week 10 of #NFLBuffs.

Bakhitiari Makes History With Extension
David Bakhtiari became the highest paid offensive lineman in NFL history on Saturday night, when he signed a contract extension with the Green Bay Packers.

Bakhtiari was drafted in the fourth-round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Packers and has developed into an anchor on the offensive line, protecting Aaron Rodgers' blindside for the past eight seasons. In four different seasons, Bakhtiari and Rodgers have started all 16-games together for the Packers.

The deal came as no surprise to many as Bakhtiari has solidified himself as one of the best left tackles in football. He has been named either a first or second-team All Pro in four consecutive seasons and had the highest pass blocking grade in the NFL, per Pro Football Focus, from 2016-2018, and was second in 2019. Before being sidelined in Weeks 8 and 9 due to injury, Bakhtiari had made 50 consecutive starts for the Packers.

The Northern California native was emotional in his post-game zoom interview when discussing the news of his extension and gave a heartfelt response when asked what he would have told his teenage self about the future ahead.

Rodgers was also excited for his teammate and "best" friend when asked about the extension, referring to his teammate as the "best left tackle in in the game" and a "future Hall of Famer, probably".

This weekend was made extra sweet for Bakhtiari as he returned to action for the Packers, playing every snap on offense, after missing two weeks with a chest injury. The Packers beat Jacksonville 24-20 in his return.

Buffs In Action
Mason Crosby (Green Bay) made his only field goal attempt from 39 yards and all three of his extra points in the Packers win. Crosby is one of only three kickers in the NFL to be perfect from field goals this season (12-for-12) and is tied for second in extra points made (31).

Arlington Hambright (Chicago) came off the bench for the Bears on Monday Night Football in a 19-13 loss to Minnesota, a week after making his NFL starting debut.

Phillip Lindsay (Denver) carried the ball four times for two yards on Sunday in a 37-12 loss to Las Vegas. That is tied for the lowest mark for carries in a game in his three-year career.

Davion Taylor (Philadelphia) played in 3 snaps on defense and 16 on special teams where he recorded an assisted tackle in a 27-17 loss to the New York Giants.

Juwann Winfree (Green Bay) appeared in his first NFL action of the season after being activated from the Packers' practice squad ahead of Sunday's victory over the Jaguars. Winfree played in seven snaps on offense and ten on special teams. He did not record any statistics.

Winfree was one of three former Buffs to suit up for the Packers on Sunday.

Buffs Sidelined
Laviska Shenault Jr. (Jacksonville), Jimmy Smith (Baltimore), Ahkello Witherspoon (San Francisco), and Ken Crawley (New Orleans) were all inactive for Week 10 of NFL action.

Buffs On Bye
Isaiah Oliver (Atlanta), Tedric Thompson (Kansas City), and Chidobe Awuzie (Dallas) were all on their scheduled bye weeks.

Practice Squad
Delrick Abrams Jr. (Atlanta), and Steven Montez (Washington) were both on their teams' practice squads for Week 10.

Daniel Munyer (Tennessee) was placed back on the Titans practice squad for Week 10 after being waived prior to Week 9.

Tony Brown (Washington) was placed back on Washington's practice squad after being on the active roster for two consecutive weeks.

IR
Kabion Ento (Green Bay) is on the NFL's Injured Reserve list.
