MINNEAPOLIS -- Fourteen Golden Gopher women's hockey alumnae are set to spend the 2020-21 season competing in the PWHPA, NWHL, and European leagues.

Nine alums have signed with the PWHPA for the upcoming year as the Professional Women's Hockey Players Association embarks on its second season. Spring 2020 graduates Sarah Potomak and Sydney Scobee join alums Megan Bozek, Hannah Brandt, Dani Cameranesi, Amanda Kessel, Gigi Marvin, Kelly Pannek, and Lee Stecklein in playing for the PWHPA this year.

Amanda Leveille and Meghan Lorence have re-signed with the Minnesota Whitecaps for the sixth season of the NWHL. Leveille is back for her fourth season with the Whitecaps and sixth in the NWHL while Lorence returns for her second season with the Whitecaps. In addition, three of the most recent University of Minnesota alumnae are spending the season in Europe as Patti Marshall plays with Brynas IF in Sweden, Katie Robinson plays for TPS in Finland, and Alex Woken skates for Mad Dogs Mannheim in Germany.
