Polish presidential challenger Rafal Trzaskowski, who according to an Ipsos exit poll got 49.6 percent of votes in the run-off elections on Sunday, said he believes in victory as he expects the counting of all votes to reverse the initial result.

Incumbent President Andrzej Duda got 50.4 percent of the vote, according to Ipsos.

"We've been saying that it's going to be close and it is close, but I strongly believe that we will win," Trzaskowski said after the Ipsos exit poll was published. "We only need to count the votes," he added.

Trzaskowski also said it is going to be "a nervous night for everyone in Poland."

Ipsos is going to publish its late poll, which is supposed to be more accurate, at 1:30 am on Monday.
