Satou Sabally put up a monster double-double last Friday night to headline the second week of the shortened WNBA season in Florida for the Oregon women's basketball team's trio of 2020 first-round draft picks.
The week was kicked off by a tremendous performance from Sabrina Ionescu in a showdown against Sabally and the Dallas Wings on Wednesday, but the No. 1 overall pick suffered an injury on Friday that will cause her to miss significant time in her much-anticipated rookie season. Ruthy Hebard, the No. 8 overall pick, appeared in all three games last week for the surging Chicago Sky.
SATOU SABALLY
Last Week: Facing off against Ionescu and the New York Liberty, Sabally put up 12 points, four rebounds and two blocked shots on Wednesday as the Wings secured their first win of 2020, 93-80. Sabally erupted for a huge performance two days later in a 76-73 comeback victory over the Atlanta Dream, going off for 23 points and 17 rebounds while going a perfect 9-of-9 from the free-throw line. The No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft became the first rookie in Wings history to record 20-plus points and 15-plus rebounds in a game, and she helped secured the win with a huge block in the final minute. Sabally wrapped up the week with 10 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals on Sunday in a 79-70 loss to the Las Vegas Aces.

This Week: Sabally and the Wings will face off with Hebard and the Sky on Tuesday at 3 PM PT (Fox Sports Southwest) before playing the Connecticut Sun on Thursday (5 PM PT, Fox Sports Southwest) and Atlanta on Saturday (9 AM PT, ESPN2).
#SayHerName: Sabally was interviewed by ESPN's Holly Rowe during Sunday's game, and she used the opportunity to speak out against racial injustice and emphasize that the Wings were playing for Sandra Bland, a black woman who died in police custody in 2015.

Last Week: Coming off a poor shooting performance in her WNBA debut, Ionescu found her stroke in her second career game on Wednesday while going off for 33 points with seven rebounds and seven assists against Sabally and the Wings. Ionescu went 11-of-20 from the floor and 6-of-10 from three-point range, finishing one point shy of the Liberty single-game rookie scoring record and becoming the first rookie in Liberty history and just the seventh in WNBA history to post 30-plus points, five-plus rebounds and five-plus assists in a game.
Ionescu got her next game off to a strong start on Friday – scoring 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting in 12 minutes – before injuring her ankle in the second quarter. Ionescu did not return and did not play on Sunday against Phoenix, and early reports indicate a Grade 3 ankle sprain. Ionescu is expected to miss significant time, though so specific time table has been presented yet as she continues to be evaluated by team physicians.Rook @sabrina_i20 WENT OFF!

RUTHY HEBARD
Last Week: The Sky continued their strong start to the 2020 season improving to 3-1 with wins over the Los Angeles Sparks and Washington Mystics, sandwiched around a narrow 83-81 loss to Minnesota on Thursday. Hebard saw action in all three games, going scoreless against Los Angeles before scoring four points on 2-of-4 shooting vs. the Lynx. Hebard made her lone field-goal attempt on Saturday against Washington while grabbing a season-high six rebounds, including two on the offensive end.
