MassDOT on Wednesday said there will be temporary overnight off-ramp closures on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Framingham.

The closures at Exit 12, which is Route 9, are needed to allow for construction operations, MassDOT said in a statement.

The off-ramp from I-90 east at Exit 12 will be closed overnight Wednesday and Thursday from 10 p.m. through 5 a.m. the following morning, MassDOT said. Traffic looking to exit I-90 east at Exit 12 will be directed to follow the detour signage in place and utilize Exit 13, which is Route 30 at Natick and Framingham.

Then, the off-ramp from I-90 west at Exit 12 will be closed from 10 p.m. on Thursday through 5 a.m. on Friday. Traffic looking exit I-90 west at Exit 12 will be directed to continue west and take Exit 11A (I-495) to access Route 9 from I-495 north at Exits 23 A and B, MassDOT said.

Drivers should reduce speed and use caution, MassDOT said.
